Philippe BARET

Agricultural engineer with a PhD in quantitative genetics, he has been teaching genetics and systems analysis at Université de Louvain, where he is a professor, since 1997.  The research that he conducts in the Earth & Life Institute focuses on methodological issues regarding genetic diversity and agroecology.  When it comes to field work, his team is using an interdisciplinary methodology to work with farmers in Central Africa and southern.
